The National Center on Response to Intervention has published a brief describing the essential components of RTI. The brief provides a definition of RTI, reviews essential RTI components, and responds to frequently asked questions.
The National High School Center recently released a publication describing the initial work of the High School Tiered Interventions Initiative (HSTII), a collaborative project of the National High School Center, the National Center on Response to Intervention, and the Center on Instruction. The document summarizes what HSTII has learned thus far about effective RTI implementation in high schools.

REL Northeast published a report detailing the features of state response to intervention initiatives as evidenced by publicly available information from state education agency websites in nine Northeast and Islands Region jurisdictions.
The National Center on Response to Intervention released an annotated bibliography outlining citations for key articles for understanding disproportionate representation. The bibliography is categorized into three sections: Practitioner-oriented, Practitioners Who Want to Learn More, and Research-oriented. While the majority of the articles are research-based, the Research-oriented category has more articles that focus on the technical and conceptual aspects of disproportionality.
A one-day workshop from 8:30-4:00 at the Mt Hood Community College Auditorium. The fee is $50 per attendee and includes lunch. The three strands include "RTI Considerations for ELL students" by Janette Klingner, U of Colorado; "Reading Interventions for ELL students" by Sylvia Linan-Thompson, U of Texas; and Sonia Schmidt on "Effective Instructional Practices and Curriculum for ELL students".

This National Comprehensive Center for Teacher Quality policy brief describes how middle and high school teachers are trained in the RTI process. The tiered model of instruction is used to improve classroom and school results and to achieve the key goals of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), as reauthorized by the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act (2002), and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEA, 2004).
