This webinar was intended for SEA staff and others involved in the evaluation of the RTI initiative in the states of Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, and Wyoming. This would include representatives from an outside agency contracted to conduct the evaluation. States that have not started to plan the evaluation of their RTI initiative, were encourage to participate to take advantage of the lessons learned from their colleagues in the other states.

The purpose of the webinar was to provide an opportunity for SEA staff and evaluators to:

• Share information about their RTI evaluation plan;
• Learn about the evaluation plans of other states; and
• Discuss potential outcomes and implications of the evaluation on their RTI initiative.

In preparation for the webinar, the NWRCC asked the SEAs to submit the evaluation questions, outcome measures, and data sources from their evaluation plans. The NWRCC compiled the information into a table and distributed the table to participants prior to the webinar. Three of the five states submitted the information. The major portion of the webinar provided an opportunity for the states to address the discussion questions listed below and to ask each other questions about their evaluation plans and the discussion questions.

• What is the evaluation going to tell you about your RTI initiative?
• How do you anticipate using the evaluation results?
• What questions or challenges to you have about evaluating your RTI initiative?
