Utilizing Standards and Indicators to Provide Technical Assistance
Kentucky uses an instrument to conduct comprehensive reviews of schools and districts in the areas of academic performance, learning environment and efficiency. The process provides specific feedback for strategies to improve teaching and learning. This session provided a description of the instrument and the process, how technical assistance teams utilize the results to work with schools and districts and how a district has implemented the recommendations.

Managing the Delivery of Your Scope of Work Across a Regional System
Defining the work that makes up your Statewide System of School Improvement Support is complex. Ensuring the work is delivered with fidelity to the districts and buildings that need it most is even more complicated. This interactive dialogue began with an overview of Ohio's scope of work for their Statewide System of School Improvement Support and how they are communicating expectations and measuring implementation and impact of their Regional School Improvement Teams which are delivered through partnerships with regional service providers. Participants explored elements of their own system in relation to other state systems and were able to exchange ideas and problem solve with colleagues in similar roles across the region.
