This regional webinar focused on English Language Learner (ELL) accommodations policy revisions and refinements that Idaho has made over the past two years utilizing guidance and support from George Washington University Center on Equity and Excellence in Education (GW-CEEE). Wendy St Michell, Idaho's English Language Assessment Manager at the SEA, presented the steps she took to refine Idaho's policy*, showed specific examples from each of the policy revisions and discussed the rationale for the changes along with future steps for Idaho. In the latter part of the webinar, each state briefly reported on efforts their state has made around reviewing or refining their ELL accommodations policies and any challenges they faced in planning for and implementing policy changes.
