A one-day workshop from 8:30-4:00 at the Mt Hood Community College Auditorium. The fee is $50 per attendee and includes lunch. The three strands include "RTI Considerations for ELL students" by Janette Klingner, U of Colorado; "Reading Interventions for ELL students" by Sylvia Linan-Thompson, U of Texas; and Sonia Schmidt on "Effective Instructional Practices and Curriculum for ELL students".

Janette Klingner is well known in the field of RTI, special ed and bilingual education. Sylvia Linan-Thompson, was director of the Vaughn Gross Center of Reading and Language Arts and is associate director of CREATE.
